Liliya Gumerova took part in meeting of Cooperation Commission between Federation Council and Senate of Kazakhstan Parliament

In the Altai Territory, the 12th meeting of the Commission for Cooperation between the Federation Council and the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held. On the Russian side, the delegation of senators was headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Ilyas Umakhanov.
Within the framework of the meeting of the bilateral commission, topical issues of Russian-Kazakh cooperation were discussed: cross-border cooperation, tourism, digital agenda in the format of the EEU.
"The experience of the development of cross-border regions, constituent entities of the Russian Federation, cities and regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, within the single economic space shows their traditionally high role in the interaction between our countries," Ilyas Umakhanov said opening the commission meeting.
The Co-chairman of the Cooperation Commission, Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sergey Gromov, in turn, noted a high role of interparliamentary interaction as an important part of the overall process of bilateral Kazakh-Russian cooperation. "This is largely facilitated by the activities of this commission," said Sergei Gromov.
In conclusion, Ilyas Umakhanov congratulated the audience on the upcoming International Day of Parliamentarism, which is celebrated on June 30.
