Elections for State Assembly of sixth convocation are scheduled in Bashkiria

Elections of deputies of the State Assembly — Kurultay RB of the sixth convocation are appointed in Bashkiria. The decision on this was taken today, June 18, at a meeting of the Central Election Commission of Bashkortostan. The Chairman of the Central Election Commission RB Khaidar Valeev headed the session.
Elections of deputies of the regional legislative assembly are scheduled for September 9, 2018. Residents of the republic will elect 110 deputies. At the same time, half of them are elected in single-mandate constituencies, the remaining 55 — in single electoral districts.
The State Assembly – Kurultay RB is a permanent legislative body of the Republic of Bashkortostan. It consists of 110 deputies and is elected for a period of five years. 18 newly elected deputies will work on a professional permanent basis.
A citizen of the Russian Federation who has reached the age of 21 and who has the right to vote may be elected as a deputy of the State Assembly. Elections are held on a basis of universal equal and direct suffrage by secret ballot.
