UFA, 8 June 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Leila Aralbaeva/ translated by Tatiana Aksyutina/.
In Ufa, the Round Dance of Nationalities has applied to the Russian Book of Records. Azat Ibragimov, director of the House of Friendship of Peoples of the Republic of Bashkortostan, stated this at a press conference devoted to the «Heart of Eurasia» festival.
Organizers hope that the number of participants this year will surpass the number of the last year. The editor-in-chief of the Russian Book of Records Stanislav Konenko will come to register a massive record in Ufa. Those who come in national costumes will receive a certificate of their participation in the record.
The holiday of the national costume in the framework of the International Festival of Arts "The Heart of Eurasia-2018" will be held in Ufa on June 9. Participants will march along Zaki Validi Street from the building of Bashkir Drama Theater to the Congress Hall, then they will go down to the amphitheater.
Here they will gather in a huge Round Dance of Nationalities. It is planned that representatives of more than 40 peoples residing in Bashkortostan will take part in it: Bashkirs, Russians, Tatars, Chuvashes, Poles, Ukrainians and other ethnic groups. Participants of national cultural centers will gather in the capital of the republic.
Foreign students will also join this dance — people from Benin, Nigeria, India, Colombia, Vietnam and other countries.
After the dance, the festival will be continued with the "UFA-KURAIFEST" concert.
