The All-Russian public organization "Green Patrol" made an ecological rating of the regions of the Russian Federation by the results of the spring of 2018. The leaders are the Tambov Region, the Altai, and the Altai Territory.
Bashkortostan takes the 55th place. Among the 14 subjects of the Volga Federal District, the republic ranks 11th.
All 85 Russian subjects are represented in the rating. The cleanest regions were chosen on the basis of such indicators as the state of air, water, discharges, emissions, an activity of public organizations.
Outsiders are the Chelyabinsk, Moscow, and Sverdlovsk regions.
Meanwhile, as reported by the Bashinform News Agency, Ministry of Natural Resources calls this eco-rating as a subjective one. According to official data of the department, it was Bashkortostan last year who was named the leader of the environmental rating of the Russian regions.
