Rustem Khamitov heads Bashkortostan delegation at St. Petersburg International Economic Forum

The Head of Bashkortostan, Rustem Khamitov, headed the official delegation of the republic at the 22nd St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which takes place from May 24 to 26.
The head of the republic will take part in a plenary session of the forum, an energy panel session, and will also address the "Exporting Russian Regions — Overcoming New Frontiers" business discussion.
Within the framework of the forum, it is planned to sign investment agreements and cooperation agreements with a number of large companies, industrial enterprises, and organizations.
The working program of the delegation includes meetings, panel sessions, participation in roundtables on such key issues of social and economic development of the regions as the implementation of national projects, increasing investment attractiveness of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, introduction of new governance mechanisms, and scientific achievements use to ensure technological breakthrough.
It should be recalled that the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) has been held since 1997. Since 2006, it has been held under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation. Over the past twenty years, the forum has become the global leading platform for communication among business representatives and discussion of key economic issues facing Russia, emerging markets and the world as a whole.
