The delegation of Bashkortostan presented Russia at an international conference in Slovenia dedicated to the role of bees and other pollinators in the sustainable development of agriculture and food security.
The main goal of the forum is to develop optimal ways to solve the beekeeping problems.
The conference was attended by representatives of 17 countries. The head of the Russian delegation — the director of the Bashkir Scientific and Research Center for Beekeeping and Apitherapy Amir Ishemgulov — spoke about the state of the beekeeping industry in Russia and Bashkortostan. Participants of the conference highly appreciated the experience accumulated by the republic in the beekeeping industry.
In addition, Amir Ishemgulov made a presentation of the Russian Federation, Bashkortostan, and Ufa as the hosting party of the 47th International Congress of Apimondia in 2021.
As a result of the conference, a joint declaration was adopted by 17 countries participating in the beekeeping forum in Slovenia, addressed to the world community.
On May 20, Slovenia celebrated the first World Bee Day, a holiday that was added to the calendar of significant peace dates by the UN General Assembly.
