London choreographer staged Rachmaninov and Glazunov ballets in Ufa

Premieres of one-act “Rhapsody” ballets to the music of Sergei Rachmaninov and "The Seasons, or the Mysterious Garden" by Alexander Glazunov will take place in Ufa. Performances will be presented for the first time in the Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theater on June 28.
Premiers at the end of the 80th anniversary theatrical season will coincide with the anniversary of Rudolf Nureyev and the Year of Ballet in Russia. The author of the project is a well-known choreographer and ballet dancer, laureate of international competitions, resident-choreographer "London Russian Ballet School" Dmitry Antipov (London). Musical director and conductor of the performances is a chief conductor of the theater, Honored Artist of the Republic of Bashkortostan, laureate of the Russian National Theater Award "Golden Mask" Artem Makarov.
The neoclassical staging at the junction of tradition and modernity will unite the language of dance and live music with a new dynamic visual design created by a young team of art directors — Aidar Galeev and Maria Rednikova.
The production will use computer graphics and animation. A solo on the piano in the "Rhapsody" ballet will be performed by the laureate of international competitions Shaura Sagitova.
