Residents of the republic in June will have a long weekend in honor of the celebration of Russia Day on June 12 and — Eid al-Fitr on June 15.
In 2018, the Day of Russia falls on Tuesday. Therefore, to ensure a continuous weekend, the Russian government decided to postpone the weekend from Saturday, June 9 to Monday, June 11.
Accordingly, the weekend in honor of the celebration of the Day of Russia will last three days this year — from June 10 to 12.
After two working days, residents of Bashkiria are waiting for another holiday — Eid al-Fitr, which this year falls on Friday, June 15.
According to the decree of the republican government, June 15 was announced in Bashkortostan as a non-working holiday. Thus, with a five-day working week, the residents of the republic will be able to rest for three days in a row — from June 15 to June 17, the regional Ministry of Labor explains.
The duration of the working day on June 9 and 14 will be reduced by one hour.
