Wildfires cover area of 44.3 hectares in Bashkiria

For a day in the republic, there were 10 hotbeds of natural fires on a total area of 109.5 hectares, the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia RB informs. At 8 am Ufa time, three fires have not yet been extinguished — 44,3 ha are covered by fire.
According to the ministry, since the beginning of the fire-dangerous period, 57 natural fires occurred in the republic (in 2017 — 24) on an area of 424.71 hectares (in 2017 — 337.55 hectares).
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that the republic introduced a fire-prevention regime. According to the Ministry of Forestry RB, during the period of the special fire regime, additional requirements for fire safety have been established, among them — a ban on the cultivation of fires, grass, incineration of garbage in the forest fund and land adjacent to forests; ban on the burning of domestic and industrial waste, and etc.
