At a meeting on implementation of the Decree of the President of Russia "On national goals and strategic tasks for the Russian Federation development until 2024" the Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov underlined the key economic indicators, which our republic should reach in the next six years.
The head of the region noted that according to the document the country must make an accelerated breakthrough in all directions, enter the top five of the world's largest economies with support for the science-intensive industries development, deep digitalization, creation of high-performance jobs, training of modern human resources, favorable business environment formation. It means that the Russian economy should outpace the worldwide average growth rates.
“The annual growth of industrial production is set at the level of 3-3.5 percent in the republican Strategy-2030. The solution of this task is possible only due to the growth of labor efficiency", said Rustem Khamitov. “Our target is to enter the top ten regions of the country by this indicator by 2030. I am sure that 3-3.5 percent are the minimum figures, and we must reach higher levels of development.”
According to the head of the republic, the key task for Bashkortostan is to increase the gross regional product.
“Currently it is about 1.5 trillion rubles, and this is 350 thousand rubles per capita. The head of state set a goal — to increase the average per capita GRP rate by one and a half times by 2024,” underlined Rustem Khamitov. “So, it should reach 540 thousand rubles per capita in our republic. The gross regional product of the republic should exceed 2 trillion rubles. The growth rate should be at least 3.5 percent per year. In our forecasts, this figure is 2-2.5 percent. So, we need to revise our plans in this part.”
