Andrei Vasilevskiy is nominated for Vezina Trophy best goalkeeper NHL prize

A Bashkir hockey trainee, now a goalkeeper of "Tampa Bay Lightning" Andrei Vasilevskiy, for the first time in his NHL career was nominated for the to the Vezina Trophy best goalkeeper prize.
The 23-year-old Russian goalkeeper was among the top-three on the basis of the voting of the NHL clubs general managers along with Pekka Rinne ("Nashville") and Connor Hellebuyck ("Winnipeg"), sports.ru reports.
The winner of this voting will be named in June at the ceremony of awarding individual league awards.
In this season, Andrei Vasilevskiy scored 44 victories and shared the first place in this indicator with Connor Hellebuyck, who broke the American record of Tom Barrasso (43 wins in the season-1992/93). The third place went to Rinne (42 wins).
Vasilevskiy and Rinne also shared the first place in shutouts (8 each), Hellebuyck was the third (6).
