"Ak Tirme" Bashkir folklore group takes part in Nowruz Festival in Turkey

The Bashkir folklore group "Ak Tirme" from Moscow takes part in the Nowruz Festival in Turkey. Now the team members are in the city of Kastamonu announced in 2018 as the Cultural Capital of the Turkic world. They represent the original Bashkir folk art there.
About 280 artists from different countries and republics arrived at the festival. The participants of the large-scale holiday were welcomed by the Secretary General of TURKSOY Dusen Kaseinov and other officials. The day before the artists met with the mayor of the city, planted trees.
Participants of the festival will present the culture and creativity of the Bashkir people to local residents for two weeks. The team also plans to shoot a video for the "Song of the Ancestors" in the memorable places of Istanbul related to the life and work of the outstanding scientist- turcologist and socio-political figure Ahmetzaki Validi Togan. The project is timed to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
Since 2014, the Bashkir national cultural center "Ak Tirme" has been carrying out activities to unite fellow countrymen, to preserve and develop Bashkir culture in the Russian capital. In February 2018, "Ak Tirme" held the third summary concert, which united the performers of Bashkortostan, Iran, Moscow and St. Petersburg.
