UFA, 18 March 2018. /Bashinform News Agency, Elmira Sabirova/.
Today at 8 o'clock in the morning polling stations were opened in all municipalities of Bashkortostan. Physically challenged people are also able to realize their constitutional right.
For example, in the Oktyabrsky social care home for the elderly and disabled, the polling station is opened right in the institution itself.
About 400 people aged 19 to 94 living permanently here will vote for their candidate in the presidential elections in Russia.
According to the director of social care home Zalia Bagautdinova, her wards take every election very seriously.
"Those who live here always take part in election campaigns, beginning with adulthood, whether elections of local, republican or federal level. Elections of the head of state are an important and responsible step for them. This is also a festive event. Low-mobility citizens (lying, without arms, visually impaired) are assisted by volunteers", the director of the institution said.
