One billion rubles will be allocated from regional budget to raise minimum wage in Bashkiria

The parliamentarians of Bashkortostan intend to make amendments to the republican budget for 2018 and the planned period of 2019 and 2020. The corresponding bill will be considered at the next plenary meeting of the Legislative Assembly.
"One billion rubles will be spent on ensuring the minimum wage set by the federal legislation. Since January 1 of the current year, the minimum wage amounts to 9,489 rubles, from May 1 it should reach 11,163 rubles, " commented on the Chairman of the State Assembly RB Konstantin Tolkachev. "In addition, 300 million rubles will be allocated for capital repairs of cultural institutions. This work is carried out in connection with the preparation for the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Bashkortostan establishing and the World Folklore Festival-2020 in Ufa".
Konstantin Tolkachev noted that budget changes are also related to the forthcoming FIFA World Cup 2018 and the granting of a subsidy from the republican budget for the maintenance of a training ground of the Ufa Football Club.
"In addition, there is a need to adjust the categories of grant recipients from the budget. This is due to changes in the rules for obtaining grants from the Head of Bashkortostan to support the most significant creative projects in the field of theater, music, choreography, visual arts and cinematography, as well as the fact that in January a new grant for the preservation and development of state languages of Bashkortostan and the languages of peoples republic was approved ", said the Chairman of the State Assembly.
"Besides, the republic participates in the priority federal program "Improving Labor Efficiency and Employment Support", which provides subsidies to legal entities and sole traders for organizing advanced vocational training for workers and internships for disabled people".
