CIS observers mission will arrive in Bashkiria on March 15

In Bashkortostan, a mission of CIS observers will work at the presidential elections in Russia. The Head of the Central Election Commission of the Republic Khaidar Valeev told this at a press conference in Bashinform News Agency.
"The mission will arrive in Bashkortostan on March 15. It consists of one observer from the Republic of Belarus and 12 representatives of Kazakhstan", the CEC Chairman said.
Khaidar Valeev explained that since February 16 long-term OSCE observers had been working in the republic. They have a great interest in the region that is why short-term observers will arrive in Bashkiria on March 15-16.
As reported by the Central Election Commission, on the voting day, international observers accompanied by translators will follow the monitoring routes. They will be able to observe closing of polling stations and counting of votes in one of the precinct election commission. Observers will be present while entering final protocol data into GAS "Vybory" system at a territorial election commissions. Based on the results of the observation, they will receive certified copies of the final protocols of precinct election commissions and summary tables of territorial election commissions.
