Bashkortostan took 17th place in inbound tourism rating

The Turstat Analytical agency compiled a rating of domestic tourism of the most popular tourist regions of Russia in 2017. The rating does not include Moscow (more than 21 million tourists in 2017) and St. Petersburg (7.5 million tourists in 2017).
56.5 million tourists traveled in Russia in 2017, which is by 3% more than in 2016. Foreigners made 19 million tourist trips to Russia in the first nine months of 2017.
The leaders of domestic tourism in 2017 were the Krasnodar Territory (16 million tourists, including resort towns of the Kuban: Sochi, Anapa and Gelendzhik), Moscow region (more than 14 million people), Crimea (5.4 million).
Top-10 included Primorie Territory (more than 4 million), Vladimir Region (more than 4 million), Yaroslavl Region (3.6 million), Tatarstan (3.1 million), Vologda Region (2.9 million), Tyumen Region (2, 8 million) and the Sverdlovsk Region (more than 2.5 million).
Bashkiria the took 17th place out of 70 — 2 million tourists (+ 15% by 2016)
The Chita Region (Transbaikal) was in the last place: 40 thousand, including three thousand tourists from China.
