Public Press Center will operate in Bashkortostan on March 18

In Bashkortostan, a Public Press Center "Elections-2018" will run on the day of the presidential elections of the Russian Federation. Registration of media representatives and bloggers was begun in the republic to cover the course of the elections.
On March 18, the Public Press Center will start its work in Ufa, at Bashkiria Hotel (Lenin Street, 25/29). During the whole period of the press center's operation, from 07.00 on March 18 to 07.00 on March 19, it is planned to organize a series of briefings with participation of representatives of candidates headquarters, political scientists and experts, as well as representatives of state authorities who will inform about access to voting for various categories of citizens: low-mobility groups, disabled people, residents of hard-to-reach settlements, prisoners in jail, transit passengers at the airport and railway station, patients in hospitals, tourists having rest in spa resorts.
Data on a turnout and a course of voting in the republic will be live broadcast from the Central Election Commission. A round table will be held with participation of journalists and experts. Every hour political analysts will comment on the voting process, examine incoming complaints, turnout and other elements of the electoral process.
10 318 public observers will work at 3453 polling stations of the republic on the day of presidential elections in Russia. Summing up the results of the Public Press Center activity will be held from 06.00 to 07.00 on March 19.
The center's activities will allow keeping the public informed of all relevant events of the Election Day, organizers represented by the Public Chamber, the "Civil Control" civil organization and the Union of Journalists of the Republic believe.
