Bashkortostan should make self-identification to become recognizable – expert opinion

A tourist brand is being developed in Bashkortostan. A pool of Russian and foreign specialists is involved in this work.
The marketing director of the Province design studio and LOVEMEDO brand agency Artemy Fominykh considers the development of the tourist brand as useful for any region.
"First, it is useful for the authorities and residents of the region itself — to understand what is important for them locally, and what should be ignored. With a competent approach, this is not just work for image, it is primarily self-identification. It is an attempt to understand your niche in the surrounding world. Secondly, it helps to form a true external representation to solve tasks and achieve goals that the region faces — whether it is tourism development or attraction of investors. No one will know about the region, including Bashkortostan, if it does not present itself".
"I heard about the region in terms of economics as one of the most rapidly developing among the entities of the Russian Federation. Associations are the following: oil, oil refining, meat, milk, honey. Many stories I heard about the changing Ufa, about the Summits held there. From a historical point of view, everything heard is connected mainly with Salavat Yulaev and the peasant war of Pugachev", the expert admitted.
