UFA, 22 February 2018. /Bashinform News Agency/.
The agricultural cooperatives profitability should exceed 1 billion rubles in Bashkortostan in 2018. This was stated by the Head of the region Rustem Khamitov at a meeting of the Government of the Republic.
Rustem Khamitov noted that last year Bashkortostan had been included in the number of pilot regions for the development of agricultural cooperatives within the framework of the federal program. The World Bank was involved as an external expert, together with which a support mechanism was developed through creation of income providing projects based on local initiatives, assistance at the initial stage in purchasing equipment or objects of the marketing and logistics infrastructure. The republic will allocate up to 3 million rubles per each cooperative under the terms of co-financing.
“This year it is planned to involve about 300 rural settlements in the program, 100 agricultural consumers’ cooperatives will be created. State support will amount to 300 million rubles,” said the head of the region. “We expect that it will be no less than 3 thousand participants in cooperative processes — personal subsidiary farms, peasant farms, agricultural organizations. At the same time, the profitability of cooperatives should grow fourfold, exceeding 1 billion rubles”.
Last year, the republic took 12th place in the country in agricultural cooperation development. 39 new cooperatives were created, their total number in Bashkortostan reached 103.
"We are developing rapidly. I think that in the near future we will enter the top ten best regions in this part. In general, we should be one of the leaders", stressed Rustem Khamitov.
