Funds spent on cultural sector are disclosed in Bashkiria

The total amount of funding for the cultural sector in Bashkortostan amounted to more than 7.7 billion rubles in 2017, which made almost 4% of the consolidated budget of our republic. This was stated by the Minister of Culture RB Amina Shafikova at an expanded meeting of the ministry board following the results of the last year.
Also, the Minister noted that in 2017 the wages of employees in the cultural and art sector grew by 32.1% compared to 2016 (18,675.9 rubles) and amounted to 24,663.2 rubles. The average salary of municipal cultural institutions employees for 2017 was 20,447.1 rubles. More than 1.9 billion rubles were allocated last year additionally from the budget of the republic in order to ensure achievement of targeted wages in the cultural sphere established by the "May" Decrees of the President of Russia.
The volume of federal subsidies in 2017 increased by 70.8% and amounted to more than 205 million rubles. Public organizations, taken part in the competition for grants from the President of Russia, won 10 presidential grants for a total of 17 million rubles for implementation this year. In 2018, it is planned to attract more than 109 million rubles of federal funds.
Due to active participation in the United Russia party projects it was managed to attract more than 88.5 million rubles from the federal budget, which were aimed at supporting 40 cultural institutions.
The Minister mentioned in her report that over the past two years, as part of movie theaters network extension program in settlements up to 500 thousand of population it had been received 123.855 million rubles for creation of 25 movie theaters. Their attendance has increased by 2.5 times due to modernization.
