The investments volume into the economy of Bashkortostan may approach 400 billion rubles in 2018. The head of the republic Rustem Khamitov told about this in an interview with the TASS agency.
According to him, the investment fund is formed mainly at the expense of Russian residents. Foreign investors’ share constitutes 10-15 percent.
The largest projects are in the areas traditional for the region — oil and gas chemistry and energy.
"In February-March, a large combined heat power plant will be launched with electricity and heat generation with installed capacity of more than 300 MW. The cost of this facility, which is being built by the Russian energy company Inter RAO, is 22-23 billion rubles", Rustem Khamitov said. "At the same time, the investment cycle for Bashneft starts. It will include construction of new facilities at Ufaorgsintez".
Foreign investors also plan to start in 2018 implementation of a number of projects in the region.
"We have an Austrian company working in our timber industry complex, which plans further large-scale construction projects. The Austrians also would like to organize production of white cement, which is used in medical industry and construction. It means two facilities worth 200 million euro, that is 13-14 billion rubles each," said the head of Bashkortostan. "The Chinese businessmen suggest starting construction of two, maybe three facilities in 2018. One of them is a cement plant that produces building materials. Investments in it will amount to about $ 150 million, also about 10 billion rubles. In addition, the Chinese are interested in construction an enterprise to assemble their tractors".
