Salavat Yulaev took revenge from Barys in away match
UFA, 26 December 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Natalia Ovcharuk/.
It became clear from the very first minutes in the HC Barys – HC Salavat Yulaev match: the home team was striving for a victory, as it dropped to the eighth place from the leaders of the Eastern Conference. The opponents left for the first break with a goalless draw, but the home team won Salavat Yulaev in all respects.
Erkki Westerlund's wards discussed the weaknesses of Barys together with the coaching staff and found a loophole for the puck in 16 seconds after the start of the second period. Linus Omark made an assist, a goal was accomplished by Teemu Hartikainen — 0: 1.
In the third period both guests from the capital of Bashkortostan and the Kazakh team could succeed: hockey players of both teams found themselves at disadvantage. But the goalkeepers showed a safe game. Toward the end of the meeting, Barys replaced the goalkeeper for the sixth field player, but the puck was intercepted by Omark, who scored a goal in an empty net — 0: 2. Andrey Kareev collected his first shut-out as part of the Ufa club.
Salavat Yulaev will depart to Omsk to play with Avangard.
