593 million rubles will be allocated for republican industry development program

A state program "Development of Industry and Enhancing Its Competitiveness" was approved at a meeting of the Government of Bashkortostan, which was held by the Head of the Republic Rustem Khamitov.
According to the Minister of Industry and Innovation Policy Alexey Karpukhin, currently the industry forms about 37 percent of the gross regional product of the republic, provides employment for every fourth working resident, generates about 80 percent of profits, 46 percent of tax revenues in the region's budget.
By 2030, it is planned to enter the Top-10 regions of Russia in terms of the oil refining depth, labor productivity, and also the Top-20 in terms of high-productivity jobs to the average annual number of employed ratio. In addition, it is planned to increase the share of high-tech and science-intensive industries in the gross regional product from 22.8 to 35 percent, to reduce the depreciation of fixed assets from 55 to 45 percent, and to reach the best 30 regions of the country on this index.
If until now, the government support measures for industry have been limited to granting subsidies for the purchase of raw materials and materials to light industry enterprises, then the program assumes the support of industrial enterprises through the Industry Development Fund of the Republic of Bashkortostan, established in 2017.
It will work under the programs of the Federal Industry Development Fund "Joint Loans", "Components", as well as "Improving Labor Productivity", which will start in 2018. This will attract no less than 5.7 rubles of the federal funds and the borrower's investments per each ruble of the Fund's investments.
The state program also envisages development of industrial parks, more intense work on attracting federal budget funds under targeted programs, state defense orders, and execution of contracts with large vertically integrated entities. In addition, a republican center of crafts and folk arts establishing is expected.
The total amount of funding for the program at the expense of the republican budget will be 593 million rubles.
