The event was not attended only by the ex-governor of the Pskov Region Andrey Turchak. Their experience and knowledge will be used in new areas of work.
The former governors will receive state awards — Vladimir Putin stressed that each of them in his place did the utmost to stabilize the economic situation and create conditions for the further development of the regions. "All of you worked in difficult circumstances. Here is what I wanted to say. We are all aware that it never was smooth sailing. This meeting is a positive signal, which means that "we have continuity in power in Russia", Oleg Matveichev the professor of the National Research University, Higher School of Economics commented on to RIA Novosti.
