HC Salavat Yulaev interrupts short series of defeats with victory over Kunlun Red Star

In the beginning of the match, Kunlun Red Star was ahead the guests from Ufa in all items of statistics. The Chinese squad had almost twice more shots than Salavat Yulaev in the first period. However, the Ufa hockey team left for a break with a minimum advantage — 0: 1. Igor Makarov scored a goal assisted by Evgeniy Korotkov and Maxim Mayorov.
The second period turned out to be effective for both rivals. HC Salavat Yulaev had only four players and again spoiled the statistics of the short-handed game: the goalkeeper of Salavat Yulaev Ben Scrivens failed to save the team. The score in the match was equalized by Gilbert Brühl. In the middle of the second leg of the playing time, the Finnish forward Joonas Kemppainen gave the Ufa team a lead — 1: 2.
