Bashkir farm bought more than 200 thoroughbred cows in Hungary

The "Urozhai" agricultural enterprise of the Aurgazy district received 236 Holstein-Frisian cows from Hungary today. The animals were brought in seven special trucks, the Ministry of Agriculture RB informs.
This is the third batch of cattle, which this year the farm has acquired from Europe. The first two parties of the heifers were from Holland. Next week, another batch of animals from Hungary is expected.
All heifers will potentially give 8-10 thousand kg of milk per year.
Animals are housed in the Ishlinsky dairy complex. The new premises are designed for 1200 heads of cattle. Here already more than 850 heifers are kept, which calving is expected in the middle of November.
As the head of the farm Radik Rafikov said, in addition to the imported cattle, the dairy complex would also have a livestock acquired at the Bashkir breeding farms.
LLC "Urozhai" agricultural enterprise is among the leading farms of the republic. According to the results of the last year, the yield here was 8,074 kg per cow. Every day the farm produces over 20 tons of milk for processing.
