Bashkiria delegation discussed cooperation prospects with Indonesian province of West Java

The official delegation of Bashkortostan headed by the vice-premier of the republican government Salavat Sagitov held talks with the leadership of the Indonesian province of West Java.
In August, the delegation of West Java, led by the Governor of the Province Ahmad Heryawan, visited Bashkortostan to establish mutually beneficial cooperation.
The Head of Bashkortostan Rustem Khamitov and Ahmad Heryawan signed a protocol on intentions of cooperation development in trade and economic, investment, scientific, technical, social, humanitarian and cultural spheres. The visit of the Bashkortostan delegation to the provincial capital of the city of Bandung was a continuation of the established contacts.
During today's meeting with the head of the regional government of the West Java province, Dr. Iwa Karniwa, representatives of Bashkortostan discussed the draft of an Action Plan for the implementation of the intentions protocol proposed by the Indonesian side.
The key areas of the document are trade, investment and humanitarian cooperation. Salavat Sagitov presented practical proposals on interaction in education and culture.
The visit of the official delegation of Bashkortostan will continue with participation in the 47th World Congress of the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF).
Under the auspices of this organization, the associate UNESCO member, the World Folklore Festival will be held in Bashkortostan in 2020. The delegation of our republic will inform the participants of the congress about the preparations for the next folklore festival, and will discuss further joint activities with the CIOFF.
In particular, in September next year the CIOFF World Congress will be held in Bashkortostan, the press service of the republican government reports.
