Foil fencer from Bashkiria won silver medal at Fencing World Cup

The 26-year-old trainee of the Bashkir fencing school Timur Arslanov as part of the Russian national team won a silver medal of the World Cup stage, which was held in Egypt. Another athlete from our republic Askar Hamzin took part in the competition together with him.
The Russian foil fencers lost to the team from the United States with a score of 45:26.
"Our athletes did not compete so well in individual events. Askar Hamzin lost to the Frenchman Maxim Poti — 15: 8 in 1/32, and Timur Arslanov lost a match to his compatriot Dmitry Zherebchenko 15:13", the press service of the Ministry of Sport and Youth Policy of Bashkiria reported.
In addition to the newly won silver medal, Timur Arslanov has silver and gold medals of the Russian competitions in his personal medal count.
