Chief federal inspector assessed urban environment program implementation in Bashkiria

The Chief Federal Inspector for Bashkortostan inspected the implementation of the federal priority program "Modern Urban Environment Formation" in the city of Salavat.
68 apartment buildings, 30 yard territories and one square participate in the program in the city. Mikhail Zakomaldin got acquainted with the reconstruction progress of the yard areas along Oktyabrskaya and Ostrovsky streets, and also visited the public garden of the "Agidel" cultural and leisure center, talked with local residents.
On these sites, works were completed on expanding roads, equipping new parking lots for cars, modern children's and sports grounds are being built, video surveillance and additional lighting are being installed.
"In general, in Bashkortostan, the "Modern Urban Environment Formation" project is being implemented at a good level. It all looks quite decent what we saw today. The main goal of the project, and this was repeatedly said by the Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of Russia to the Volga Federal District, Mikhail Babich, is that the opinion of local residents should be taken into account when forming a convenient environment", Mikhail Zakomaldin underlined.
Bashkortostan joined the "Modern Urban Environment Formation" project this year. Within the framework of the project 23 cities and urban settlements will be landscaped. The total amount of financing is more than 1 billion rubles. These funds are from the federal, republican budgets, businesses and the residents of apartment buildings.
