Nobel Prize winner will be speaker at Russian Energy Forum in Bashkiria

The Russian Energy Forum will be held in the capital of Bashkortostan at VDNKh-Expo from October 17 to 20. One of its key speakers will be the winner of the Nobel Peace Prize as part of the international group of experts on climate change, the general director of the Center for Energy Efficiency – 21st Century, Igor Bashmakov. This became known at a press conference in the Bashinform News Agency with participation of the Minister of Industry and Innovation Policy of Bashkortostan Alexei Karpukhin.
The business program of the four-day forum includes a plenary session "Modern Energy — Multivariate Development" and 26 sections on energy security issues, digital future of the energy sector, energy management, topical issues of regional energy, the head of the republican Ministry of Industry told journalists.
"Leading specialists of energy, industry, utilities, experts in energy efficiency and resource supply, scientists, representatives of the authorities of Bashkortostan and other regions will take part in the events. Total, more than 150 people have been registered as speakers and moderators of the forum. Among them there are experts from Italy, Serbia, the Czech Republic, Finland, the Republic of Belarus, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Chelyabinsk, Kaliningrad and Novosibirsk", said Alexei Karpukhin.
Special international exhibitions "Energy of the Urals", "Heat Supply. Electrical Engineering. Cables" will be held as part of the forum with participation of 120 companies. The exhibitions will feature companies from Italy, Kazakhstan, dealers and representations of China, France and Germany. At the same time, the share of nonresident participants in the exhibition will be more than 80%, organizers announce.
By tradition, the Republic of Bashkortostan will also present its stand there. It will demonstrate the capabilities of leading energy companies, industrial developments, including products of laureates of the "100 Best Goods of Russia" contest.
