Timber cluster will be created in Bashkortostan

The Government of Bashkiria and market participants are preparing to sign an agreement on the creation of a timber industry cluster. The draft order was prepared by the Ministry of Industry of the Republic, RBC-Ufa reports with reference to the Minister of Industry and Innovation Policy of the Republic Alexei Karpukhin. According to the minister, in addition to a legal status that allows receiving subsidies from the federal budget, the creation of such cluster is necessary for organization of interaction between enterprises.
The initial agreement on the cluster creation was held in March 2017 in the framework of the Russian Industrial Forum. The document was signed by the heads of ten forestry and woodworking enterprises operating in the region, including Amzinskiy Lesokombinat, Bashlesprom, Sibaylesprom, Selena companies. Also, the agreement participants are Bashkir State Agrarian University and the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "Institute of Rational Nature Management".
Altogether, the forestry complex of Bashkiria includes 1128 organizations of all forms of ownership, including 272 logging enterprises, 531 woodworking, 324 furniture manufacturing enterprises, and one wood chemical plant. In 2016, the volume of products shipped by them amounted to 7 billion rubles.
