A street will be named after the national poet of Bashkortostan Mustai Karim in Moscow. This decision was made by the Moscow City Government on August 30. The street is located in the housing estate Zyablikovo in the Southern administrative district of the capital, between Shipilovskaya Street and Orekhov Boulevard, with the length of 950 meters. The commission considered a petition of the Literary Institute named after A.M. Gorky Foundation and the Mustai Karim Foundation.
The Mustai Karim Foundation representatives noted that this was a very important event, especially on the eve of the 100th anniversary of Mustai Karim and Bashkortostan, which will be celebrated in 2019. The Mustai Karim’s Biography is inextricably intertwined with Moscow. Working in the Union of Writers of the USSR and the RSFSR, he lived in the capital for a long time and was very fond of this city.
Nearby there is Musa Jalil Street and the Shipilovskaya station of the Lubelsko-Dmitrovskaya line of the Moscow Metro.
