Twice as many yards as in Ufa will be accomplished in Sterlitamak
UFA, 29 August 2017. /Bashinform News Agency, Olga Murtazina/.
In Sterlitamak there was a check of the facilities to be accomplished within the framework of the "Urban Environment" party project. As a result of public discussions this year more than 100 yards of apartment buildings (almost twice as many as in Ufa) were selected, as well as one public area — a pedestrian alley along Khudayberdin Street from the bus station to Lenin Avenue. The city received 115 million rubles for the works. Residents of the landscaped courtyards agreed to participate financially in the project and collected 5% of the funds.
"This year, there was a provision that two thirds of the funds should be directed to the yards of apartment buildings and one third to the improvement of public areas. Since next year, residents will be able to decide where and to what extent funds will be directed, whether to courtyards, or parks, embankments or other public areas", said the Deputy Minister of Housing RB Alfred Zinnatullin.
In the current year, the program involves 23 cities and settlements, the next it will cover 240 municipalities. The project is designed for a five-year implementation period.
