The results of the 3rd All-Russian competition "Small Towns and Villages Cultural Mosaic" of the Elena and Gennady Timchenko Charity Foundation were summed up. Among the winners is the "Doctor Book" project of the Centralized Library System of the Aurgazy District of Bashkortostan.
According to the regional Ministry of Culture, the Charity Foundation of Elena and Gennady Timchenko will allocate more than 32 million rubles for the implementation of all social and cultural initiatives.
This year the competition received more than one thousand applications from 75 subjects of the Russian Federation. The contest was held in two stages. 182 semi-finalists were selected at the first stage. After that, regional training seminars were held for them, which allowed the authors to finalize the competition projects. The experts selected 58 winning projects in the final stage.
"Over four years of the "Small Towns and Villages Cultural Mosaic" competition more than 200 projects were successfully implemented in various regions of Russia. Active, talented and not indifferent people are behind all of them. They prove in practice that the development of small territories is possible at the expense of realizing their own potential," says Maria Morozova, director of the Elena and Gennady Timchenko Charity Foundation. During the implementation of the winning projects, other residents join in, and this gradually changes the way of life of the whole community.
