The Deputy Secretary of the General Council of United Russia Olga Batalina named Bashkortostan among the leaders in the implementation of the party project "Urban Environment" in the country. The work with residents, involvement of the regional party branch in the monitoring and decision-making processes of the project implementation were analyzed.
"This project is significant for the country, for people, therefore, it is under our special control," Olga Batalina stressed.
The "Urban Environment" provides for the phased arrangement of yards and recreation places basing on citizens' initiatives. In Bashkortostan, the coordinator of the project is Irek Nigmatullin, the head of the parliamentary faction in the State Assembly of the Republic. The Public Council for Project Implementation is headed by Olga Panchikhina, the Executive Director of the Public Fund for Ufa Development. More than one billion rubles from the federal and republican budgets were allocated in the region for the improvement.
In the spring, residents of municipalities in the format of public discussions chose objects that, in their view, should be landscaped in the first place. Throughout the course of the work residents will also be able to monitor the execution of their instructions, and deputies and members of the Public Council will assist in checking the quality.
Total 41.5 billion rubles have been allocated for the implementation of the "Urban Environment" project, including 16 billion of regional co-financing. Considering the importance and scale of the program, Dmitry Medvedev decided to hold a large "Urban Environment" Federal Forum, which will be held in Krasnodar on July 24. The interim results of the party project implementation will be discussed together with representatives of all regions.
