Bashkiria is included in Top-10 Russian regions in socio-economic development for 2016

Bashkortostan took the eighth place in the rating of the socio-economic situation of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in 2016. This is evidenced by results of a study conducted by the "RIA Rating" rating agency of "Russia Today". The republic scored 60.759 points in the integral rating and went two positions up compared to 2015 based on the results of the analysis. The rating took into account several areas of indicators, such as "the size of the economy", performance indicators of the economy, budget and social sphere.
The republic showed a significant advantage in a number of indicators, the press service of the republican Government reported. The region is among the leaders among the subjects of the Russian Federation in terms of goods and services production by main sectors of the economy, revenues of the consolidated budget, investments in fixed assets, and the share of profitable enterprises that testify to stability of economic development. Also, the republic ranks second in the consolidated list of the volume of the consolidated budgets surplus. Positive trends are also observed in terms of social indicators in comparison with 2015: unemployment rate, infant mortality, life expectancy.
