Five thousand people will visit International Ecoforum in Ufa

From June 6 to 8, the forthcoming International Ecological Forum in Ufa and the specialized exhibition "Ecology. Technologies. Life" will be attended by more than 80 companies from 12 regions of Russia.
As it was reported at the press conference in the Bashinform News Agency, it is expected that the visitors of the second forum and exhibitions this year will be about five thousand people.
The business part of the forum will be large and diverse. A total of 250 speakers and moderators are announced.
According to the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Bashkortostan Ildar Khadiyev, the ultimate goal of all events held in the Year of Ecology and Specially Protected Natural Territories is formation of ecological mentality.
"This year a plenary session will be devoted to the development of reserves. This is primarily a broad range of eco-tourism, including the development of geoparks. It is no accident that specially protected natural areas will be presented at the exhibition: the "Bashkiria" national park, the South Ural Nature Reserve, the Bashkir State Nature Reserve, the Shulgan-Tash, the Muradym Gorge", said Ildar Khadiyev. "Among the topics for discussion at the round tables are ecology of soils in the republic, impact of iodine deficiency on health of residents, environmental education, quality of drinking water, as well as imported and produced products in the region, solid municipal waste management, development of green economy, environmental safety in forest development and other issues".
For the first time, a banner exhibition will be organized in which about 20 districts and cities of Bashkortostan will take part. It will present their work in the field of environmental protection and nature management from 2014 to 2017.
The forum in Ufa will host a meeting of the Russian Committee of the UNESCO International Program on Geosciences and Geoparks, a scientific and practical conference with international participation "Topical Issues of Occupational Medicine and Human Ecology", as well as meetings of the chief ecologists of republican enterprises "Pressing Issues of Environmental Legislation".
